According to Ukrainian sources, a Russian missile has landed in the center of the city of Chernihiv. Many children are said to be among the injured.

As a result of a Russian missile attack are in the North Ukrainian city Chernihiv officials said at least five people were killed and another 37 injured. A rocket fell in the very center of the city, where a university and a theater are located, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram. “It’s an ordinary Saturday that Russia turned into a day of pain and loss.” In addition, Selenskyj published a short video in which debris can be seen on the sidewalk.

According to Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, eleven children were among the injured. The governor of the Chernihiv region, Vyacheslav Tschaus, wrote that the city had been hit by a ballistic missile, according to initial findings. He called on the population to stay in shelters for the time being.
