It was foreseeable that Dmitry Peskov would be asked about the military setbacks in Ukraine by Monday at the latest. Nevertheless, the Kremlin spokesman had nothing more to offer the journalists than his usual evasive maneuvers. “The special military operation is continuing,” said Peskov when asked whether the military leadership still enjoyed the Kremlin chief’s full trust. “It will continue until the originally set goals are achieved.”
