Poland is one of the loudest spokesmen for further sanctions against Moscow and the central hub for arms supplies to Ukraine. Now Russia is stopping gas supplies. How well is Poland prepared for this?

Exactly on the minute, Russia turned off the gas supply to Poland. Since 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, no natural gas for the Polish market has flowed through the Yamal natural gas pipeline, which runs from Russia through Belarus – as announced the day before by the Kremlin-controlled Gazprom group. EU member Bulgaria has also had to do without Russian natural gas since Wednesday morning.
