For Pierce Brosnan (70), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (33) is a good choice as the new 007 actor. On RTÉ Radio 1’s “Ray D’Arcy Show”, the actor, who played James Bond in four films between 1995 and 2002, was asked what he thought of the rumors that Taylor-Johnson could be the next Bond.

Pierce Brosnan: “The man has what it takes”

“I think the man has the stuff and the talent and the charisma to play Bond,” Pierce Brosnan said of his young fellow actor. The 70-year-old apparently knows Taylor-Johnson well. With him he realized one of the first projects of his production company Irish DreamTime in 2009, the film “Time of Mourning” (originally “The Greatest”).

“One of the first films we did, one of the earliest films, was ‘The Greatest’. And he was the greatest in it,” Brosnan said of the film, which also stars him alongside Taylor-Johnson, Carey Mulligan (38). ) and Susan Sarandon (77) took part. “So, yes, I’ve read the news about his possibilities as Bond, and I would definitely take my hat off to the guy,” Pierce Brosnan added.

When asked what advice he would give Taylor-Johnson if he actually became the new 007, Brosnan also said: “Be brave. Go out there. Have a great time.” The ex-007 further advised: “Just love it. Just do it. You can do it.”
