Albert Heinrich Riise traveled to the West Indies in 1838 to produce medicines there. Riise was a pharmacist and 185 years ago spirits were definitely considered medicine. Although similar is the wrong word, because the “pages” of the calendar contain little stories about the company’s tradition and its rum. A booklet or tasting glasses are not included.
