Rules in the jungle camp 2022: These regulations apply in the camp – TV – jungle camp

As Marc Terenzi once said in the jungle camp so beautiful? “The Rules are The Rules. We must hold them”. But that won’t be easy with the new rules this year. Since flapping so make campers ears sure …

On Friday evening (January 21), the new season of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here” starts on TV. After Lucas Cordalis (54) was infected with the corona virus, only eleven instead of twelve candidates moved to the Blyde River Canyon nature reserve. Where the camp in South Africa is playing this year.

New environment, new rules! BILD learned: There are sometimes other bans for South Africa – and after the Corona chaos surrounding Lucas Cordalis, RTL tightened the rules again.

The most important rules in the jungle camp 2022

▶︎ Battery Clause

The jungle campers are even more attuned to themselves. Mammut production employees will in future place the batteries for the microphone transmitters, which all campers wear on their bodies, in a specific place. The candidates then have to pick up the batteries and replace them themselves. Before there was help from the crew.

▶︎ Dr. Bob!

Bob McCarron aka Dr. Bob is only allowed to explain the iconic jungle tests with a safe distance. He is only allowed to get close to the candidates when a serious emergency occurs that really needs the help of a paramedic. A comforting hug from Dr. Bob after aches and pains and shock tests? Not available any more!

▶︎ Nose rule

Before moving in, a candidate revealed to BILD that the celebrities are no longer allowed to hold their noses during the exams. Apparently this is related to health risks. However, this is not explicitly listed in the contract that BILD has.

▶︎ Anyone who sleeps gets in trouble!

Life in the jungle camp will not be a bed of roses! The candidates are not allowed to sleep during the day. If the rules are broken, fans know from previous years that there are severe penalties. About cigarette withdrawal for smokers.

▶︎ Toilet clause

This very popular rule has remained: If you want to go to the toilet, you must not go there alone, but must also wake someone up at night to accompany you. And of course the stars are not allowed to leave the camp either, except during the tests for the waterfall, pond, toilet or jungle telephone. There must be at least five candidates in the camp if the rest just want to take a shower or pee…

▶︎ The candidates are not allowed to tear down plants

Nature is sacred – and must be protected. If the VIPs tear down, eat or destroy the plants around them, there will be real trouble. However, the “ban on contact” with the plants also has something to do with preventing possible allergies.

▶︎ Animal death clause

No animals may be killed in the camp, except during the jungle trials! If the participants encounter a wild animal, all they can do is shout and hope for help. According to BILD information, anyone who does not follow these or other rules can even be thrown out of the show.

▶︎ PCR tests every 48 hours

In order to avoid further corona infections, employees who are involved in the jungle camp on site are tested every 48 hours using a PCR test. The candidates, on the other hand, have NOT been tested since they moved in.

There are two reasons for this: First, they are considered a group similar to the members of a household or a flat share. Secondly, they should not be torn out of “immersion” by constant testing. Means: You should fully feel into the situation, become absorbed in it. Otherwise the jungle camp would feel like a kind of show shoot for them.

▶︎ Smoking and drinking

The candidates are allowed to smoke, but only under one condition: the ashes and the remains must be disposed of in the campfire, so that there is no forest fire! A water container is available for liquid intake. It can be filled with water from the nearby river. But only if the water has been boiled beforehand.

▶︎ The jungle set

The candidates are provided with soap, mosquito repellent, toilet paper, towels, sunscreen, toothpaste and toothbrushes in the camp. The rest must be approved by RTL or is one of the maximum two luxury items from celebrities.
