Ruhpolding: Remains of missing person found after three years – Bavaria

The remains of a missing man have been found after more than three years. The investigators assume that the man died in an accident near Ruhpolding (Traunstein district). According to the police, there is no evidence of foul play.

The large-scale search for the 54-year-old in September 2020 was unsuccessful. However, officers discovered the man’s locked car in the area of the Gruttau and Urschlau districts, southwest of the center of Ruhpolding. On Monday, workers found the backpack and the remains of the missing man in a forest west of the Urschlau district.
