“Summer House of the Stars”: Offshoot for normal candidates

Normally, prominent couples in RTL’s “Summer House of the Stars” have a generally less than peaceful get-together. RTL is now announcing an offshoot for which non-celebrities can also apply.
Stay in the “Summer House of the Stars” on behalf of RTL normally focuses on celebrity couples – now the barren dwelling in Münsterland is also supposed to open up to normal people. The broadcaster in Cologne announced that a spin-off – i.e. an offshoot – is planned for the regular season of the show with “non-VIPs”.
Interested parties can now apply to move into the little house in Bocholt. The same thing awaits them as the celebrity residents, RTL promised – “from strange games to the emotional nominations to the nerve-wracking competition for a place in the final.” The working title is “The Normal People’s Summer House”. The release date on the streaming platform RTL+ will be announced later.
The “Summer House of the Stars” is one of the channel’s best-known reality formats. In the show, more or less celebrities and their life partners move into a kind of large shared apartment. There they have to get along with the other pairs and master games together. In the first few years, the candidates made life difficult for each other under the Portuguese sun. Since 2020, the format has been based in a rather rustic home in Bocholt in Münsterland.
