There had already been speculation, but then there was certainty on the show. René Casselly is not allowed to take part in “RTL high diving”.

While many other celebrities dive into the water live on TV on Friday evening, René Casselly (26) is only allowed to watch “RTL high diving” from the edge of the pool. Although the “Let’s Dance” winner was considered one of the favorites, he was injured in training. Until the end he had obviously hoped to get the go from his doctor.

“Unfortunately, both eardrums burst in my ears,” Casselly said live on the show. He would have liked to compete, but the doctor did not agree to participate because the risk was too great. The broadcaster also showed the failed jump from training that caused the injury. Casselly had tried a “triple Auerbach”.

Wildcard for the next high diving

Casselly was particularly looking forward to the duel with former gymnast and Olympic champion Fabian Hambüchen (35), who will also be there on February 10th. But he doesn’t have to grieve too much because, as the moderators Jan Köppen (39) and Frank Buschmann (58) told him, he has a wild card and is for the next “RTL tower jumping” (also on RTL+) is definitely set if the transmitter should carry out another event.

Fitness model Vanessa Mariposa (30) and bobsleigh world champion Kevin Kuske (44) cannot participate due to injuries after training accidents, as previously announced. Mariposa suspected “that my breast implant ruptured,” she said in the format “The Real Life – #NoFilter” (RTL +). Kuske had “ripped off his shoulder tendons” during training as he explained to the “Bild” newspaper.
