Palace: Queen spent Thursday night in hospital

First Queen Elizabeth II had canceled a planned trip, now the palace has confirmed that the 95-year-old monarch had to spend the night in the hospital.
The British Queen Elizabeth II (95) spent the night on Thursday in the hospital.
The Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday evening. The palace went on to say that the reason for the stay was preliminary investigations.
Planned trip canceled on Wednesday
Queen Elizabeth II had already canceled a planned trip to Northern Ireland on Wednesday for health reasons. “The Queen reluctantly accepted the medical advice to rest for the next few days,” said a statement from Buckingham Palace.
The decision has nothing to do with Corona, the PA news agency reported, citing palace circles.
Last week there had already been concerns about the Queen’s health when she showed up twice with a walking stick.
