Harry and Meghan traveled to The Hague for the Invictus Games. One team particularly impressed them.

During his visit to the Invictus Games in The Hague, Prince Harry paid special respect to the team from Ukraine.

The majority of the team have served in some capacity back home, the 37-year-old said in an interview with the BBC. They exchanged their uniforms for their team clothes, jumped on the tour bus and came here with special permission from their president.

“Having you here is really extraordinary,” said Harry, who founded the Paralympic competitions for disabled soldiers. The royal traveled to The Hague with his wife Meghan (40) for the Invictus Games – it is the couple’s first joint trip to Europe since their withdrawal from the British royal family.

Unfortunately, the team from Ukraine is not complete, four members did not make it. For example, the archery coach died defending his country, Harry said. “It really shows you what’s happening in Europe right now.” At the opening ceremony, too, the royal specifically addressed the athletes from Ukraine and assured them that the world was with them.
