Königs, children and piano – all-rounder Kate surprises with a virtuoso Christmas performance

She can not only play children and kings, but also the piano: Duchess Kate surprises the British as the perfect entertainer. For the first time she played the piano in public.
The “Helene Fischer Show” is canceled again due to corona and New Year’s Eve parties have been canceled: The Germans would do a little cheer and glamor quite good. Duchess Kate was seen at a charity event at Westminster Abbey. But not only that. The wife of heir to the throne Prince William surprised as an entertainer. Kate accompanied the Scottish singer-songwriter Tom Walker on the song “For Those Who Can’t Be Here” on the piano. A splendid performance.
Surrounded by dozens of candles, the 39-year-old sat at the piano in a red dress and touched the audience’s hearts with her virtuoso playing. Singer Walker was also enthusiastic about the Duchess. “Without a doubt it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he told the US magazine “People”. “It’s not easy to just sit down at a piano with a few musicians you’ve never played with and record in front of the camera.”
Duchess Kate herself had the idea
It was Kate’s first appearance as a pianist. The Duchess had already received piano lessons as a child. However, the British have never been able to admire their game in public. She also mastered her role as moderator of the event excellently. At the Christmas gala “Royal Carols: Together at Christmas”, which was recorded on December 8th, the Duchess led through the program.
The idea for the event, in which husband Prince William also took part, is said to come from Kate. The gala honored volunteers who did a great job in the UK during the pandemic. Jack of all trades convinces not only as a member of the Windsors and mother – but also as a conférencieuse. And maybe she’ll storm the charts with her song soon.
