The Queen’s second son has made negative headlines again. It’s about the equivalent of around 920,000 euros.

The British Prince Andrew (62) has allegedly embezzled money, which he received through a controversial businessman, returned to its rightful owner.

As the German Press Agency learned on Saturday, the second eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II (95) transferred the equivalent of around 920,000 euros back to a Turkish millionaire.

The woman claims to have been brought by a compatriot for the equivalent of around 45 million euros and is suing the London High Court for the return of her assets. According to the court, both Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, received substantial sums of money from it.

According to the millionaire, she hired the accused businessman to keep her money safe after she had to leave Turkey for political reasons. Instead, he is said to have embezzled the property. The transfer to Andrew was justified to her in exchange for help obtaining a passport and was declared as a wedding gift to Andrew’s daughter Beatrice, 33, the woman testified in court, according to the PA news agency. The businessman denies the allegations.

The reason why Andrew received the money in November 2019 was initially unclear. The businessman reportedly won a Pitch at Palace award, which Andrew offered, shortly thereafter, which promotes start-up companies. Prince Andrew’s spokeswoman declined to comment on dpa’s request on Saturday, citing the ongoing court proceedings.

Prince Andrew has made negative headlines again as a result of the case. It was only in mid-February that he was able to avert an abuse lawsuit in the USA against himself with a comparison that was probably worth millions. Plaintiff Virginia Giuffre accused him of repeatedly abusing her when she was 17. Andrew denied the allegations. However, he had already had to give up his military ranks and official duties for the royal family.
