Greek royal couple announce marriage

Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana of Greece are getting divorced. They strive for a close friendship after the breakup.
The Greek royal couple Prince Nikolaos (54) and Princess Tatiana (43) are getting divorced. The two announced this decision on Friday on the official website of the Greek royal family. Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark – the third child of the former King Constantine II of Greece (1940-2023) and his wife, Anne-Marie of Denmark (77) – announced in the statement that they had decided after 14 years of marriage to terminate the relationship by mutual agreement.
The decision was made “with great care and mutual respect” and reflects the depth of mutual appreciation. In the future, cooperation should continue to be characterized by respect and understanding. They want the relationship to develop into a “strong friendship”. Both will continue to live in Greece and build their new lives there separately. Greece is a place that both would call home.
The two have been married since 2010
Prince Nikolaos was born in Rome as his family lived in exile there after the end of the Greek monarchy. He spent many years of his life in the USA and Great Britain. In 2009, after a relationship lasting several years, she announced her engagement to Tatiana Blatnik, an event planner from Venezuela who grew up in Switzerland. The two married in 2010 in Spetses, Greece, with numerous royal guests such as Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden (46), King Felipe of Spain (56) and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands (56). The marriage remained childless.
