It’s rare to see a real celebrity chef in a telenovela kitchen. Johann Lafer takes on a guest role in “Rote Rosen”.
New job for star chef Johann Lafer (66): As ARD announced on Tuesday, the Austrian will make a detour to the Lüneburg Heath and appear in the telenovela “Rote Rosen” will take on a guest role. The episode with Lafer is expected to be shown on the first in May 2024. “I’m having a lot of fun and I have to say, something completely different, I’d love to cook here!” Lafer enthuses about it Filming on the “Red Roses” set.
Lafer plays himself in the telenovela. Marvin (Maurice Pawlewski, 25) is previously disappointed because he could no longer get tickets for his great idol Johan Lafer to appear in Hamburg. But Charlotte’s (Malene Becker, 30) connections make the almost impossible possible: Johann Lafer actually comes to “Carlas”. The landlady Carla (Maria Fuchs, 49) offers the star chef a simple kitchen and is quite successful. Lafer loves simple but perfectly prepared dishes. In the restaurant kitchen, the professional then passes on his experiences to the two of them and shows Marvin and Carla his world of cooking.
More than 3,900 episodes of “Red Roses have already been broadcast”
“Rote Rosen” has been running Monday to Friday at 2:10 p.m. on Erste since 2006. The series is all about the Lüneburg five-star hotel “Drei Könige” and the associated restaurant “Carlas”. Other plot threads converge, among other things, in the “Rosenhaus” apartment building and in the “Albers” garden center. To date, more than 3,900 episodes have been broadcast in 21 seasons.
