Rosenheim: Youth coach is said to have sexually abused several boys – Bavaria

A 25-year-old youth coach from the district of Rosenheim is said to have sexually abused several boys. According to the investigators, the man came into contact with the children through the club where he was a coach. “In total, there are currently six victims between the ages of eleven and 13,” said senior public prosecutor Thomas Goger on Friday.

The Bavarian Center for Combating Child Pornography and Sexual Abuse on the Internet initially investigated the man based on a tip from an Internet service from the USA. The suspect’s apartment was searched at the beginning of March, and according to Goger, a large number of files were seized which, according to a preliminary assessment, show depictions of child and youth pornography.

The investigations led to the suspicion that “in several cases the accused persuaded male children to engage in sexual activity or even committed sexual acts on these children,” said Goger. An arrest warrant was issued for the man because of the risk of recurrence. He is said to have sought contact with another boy after the search.

The 25-year-old also worked at a school. According to the investigators, there is currently no evidence that crimes have been committed in this context.
