Former Miss World Rosanna Davison wants to bring the Ukrainian surrogate who carried her daughter to Dublin.

Former Miss World Rosanna Davison, 37, wants to help the Ukrainian surrogate who gave birth to her first daughter, Sophia, in 2019. Like the daughter of musician Chris de Burgh (73) the Irish “Independent” told, the woman is supposed to protect herself from the Russian troops in her house in the seaport city of Cherson. Davison wants to bring her to Dublin, but her surrogate mother feels she cannot leave her house.

“Our surrogate lives in Kherson with her little girl and her family, which has been documented as having been taken by the Russian army. I spoke to her yesterday and she was safe but very frightened,” says Rosanna Davison.

“She is in a shelter but there is a lot of gunfire outside, they still have running water but food is running out. I have invited her to bring her daughter to Ireland to live with us but she believes “Not that it’s possible to leave the city now that it’s completely surrounded by Russian troops. It seems unlikely that she’ll be able to escape at this point. Wes and I are very excited and concerned for her safety.” All she can do is keep in touch with her, Davison says. “We care a lot about her and of course we wouldn’t have Sophia if it hadn’t been for her. She’s a wonderful person.”

Thanks to the surrogate mother for parental happiness

The model is “shocked and devastated” by the situation in Ukraine and says Kyiv is an amazing city with “wonderful people”. “We got to know beautiful Kyiv very well in 2019. We made friends there and will always have a connection to Kyiv because it is Sophia’s country of birth,” said the Irish native. She and her husband Wes would have spent a total of seven weeks in town as they set out to become parents for the first time. Your heart is in the place.

Rosanna Davison and Wesley Quirke have been married since 2014. After little Sophia Rose Quirke, the two became parents to the twins Hugo and Oscar in November 2020. “We had struggled with fourteen pregnancy losses and a challenging fertility journey over the past few years before we welcomed Sophia in November last year [2019] finally welcomed with the help of a surrogate mother,” Davison explained in July 2020 when she announced her twin pregnancy via Instagram.
