“Rolling Loud” in Munich: Hundreds of fans storm the stage – Munich

After two concerts at the “Rolling Loud” hip-hop festival had already been canceled on Friday evening due to visitors throwing stones and bottles, there were disturbances again on Saturday afternoon, this time much more massively. Parts of the stage were overrun by hundreds of spectators, the organizers interrupted the festival on Saturday afternoon. It is not yet clear whether anyone was injured.

The space in front of the main stage, the Loud Stage, is divided into several areas divided by breakwaters and entry restrictions. The left entrance seen from the stage has been stormed by spectators. At first, people piled up behind the entrances, and the security staff couldn’t calm the increasingly aggressive mood. People climbed onto containers, partly to gain access to the front area, partly to alert the security guards: “Open that, people are dying, open that! I swear to you! There are people lying unconscious on the ground!” yelled a young man indignantly from a container. The mood changed, two young women fell to the ground with panic attacks.

Projected on the screens in English was that the show is on hold and will resume soon. But it didn’t happen that quickly, the situation is still unclear at the moment. After a man from the German event team addressed the audience, co-founder Tariq Cherif took the stage. The American asked the local people to be cooperative and praised the visitors who followed the rules.
