Rolling Loud Germany: Interview with the organizer duo – Munich

Rolling Loud, the world’s largest hip-hop festival, is coming to Germany for the first time. What the inventors Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif hope for from the premiere in Munich and the local rap scene.

Middle school friends Tariq Cherif and Matthew Zingler started monthly club parties in Miami ten years ago. They booked promising rap talents like Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar – who are now among the biggest hip-hop stars in the world. And Cherif and Zingler are the biggest hip-hop promoters on the planet. Their festival “Rolling Loud” dominates the industry, attracted around 200,000 visitors to Miami in 2021, they have offshoots all over the world, now they are coming to Germany for the first time – they are bringing many of their old and new ones to the Munich Messe Riem Partners with, like Lamar and Scott. The heavily tattooed Matt Zingler shows himself on his Instagram channel (3.1 million followers) arm in arm with Sean P. Diddy Combs, the old godfather of rap says: “Rolling Loud is the Woodstock of hip-hop.”
