The coalition has been shaking since the historic verdict in Karlsruhe. SPD parliamentary group leader Rolf Mützenich brings a longer-term debt brake exception into play – and accuses the Federal Constitutional Court of causing confusion.

Luckily, I received student loans at school. And I worked a lot during my studies. So I always had a reasonably good financial basis.
Are you not prone to financial gambles? Stocks or something?
No. As a teenager, I used to sit at a slot machine in bars, and I don’t want to hide that. But I didn’t follow this hobby for so long that it caused me distress.
The federal government gambled. She filled up a debt pot for the climate with money that was actually intended for the corona crisis. Karlsruhe has now stopped this trickery. Actually understandable, right?
Nobody gambled there. We already founded the special pot in the grand coalition together with the CDU and CSU and partially filled it with Corona funds. Similar budgetary practices also exist in many federal states. I always found that understandable. We are faced with huge tasks and have to transform industry in a climate-friendly way, including the world of work. This is not possible without massive investments.
