It’s her first album in seven years. Charlie Watts, who died two years ago, played the drums on two of the songs. Lady Gaga is also part of the party.

The new studio album Rolling Stones, “Hackey Diamonds” is scheduled for release on October 20th. This was announced by the legendary rock ‘n’ roll band on Wednesday at a PR event in London, which was broadcast live on the Internet. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood answered questions from US talk show host Jimmy Fallon in an old theater in Hackney and presented their new single “Angry”, which is available now.

The Rolling Stones had already confirmed on Monday that a new studio album was coming. Hackney Diamonds is their first album in seven years and the first Stones original album in 18 years. “We were very lazy,” joked Jagger. “Maybe we were a bit too lazy. So we said: Let’s set a deadline and make an album.”

Drummer Charlie Watts, who died in August 2021, can still be heard on two of the twelve new songs. Drummer Steve Jordan, who played drums for the Stones on their 60th anniversary tour last year, played the rest of the songs.

In Watts’ honour, former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman also appeared on Hackney Diamonds. “So we have the whole band from before on one song,” Jagger said on Wednesday. Lady Gaga is also featured as a guest singer. The trio did not comment on a possible tour on Wednesday.
