The rumor mill is churning and the evidence is growing. Will the Stones release a new studio album anytime soon? Who knows? In any case, this cannot be ruled out.

Bring them Rolling Stones coming out with a new album? An advertisement for the fictional glass repair company “Hackney Diamonds” in the London local newspaper “Hackney Gazette” fuels rumors about a 31st studio album by the British rock band around frontman Mick Jagger (80).

The ad alludes to the Stones hits “Satisfaction,” “Gimme Shelter,” and “Shattered”: “Our friendly team promises you satisfaction. If you say Gimme Shelter, we’ll fix your shattered windows.” .When you say gimme shelter we’ll fix your shattered windows).

The Stones kept making vague hints about a new album. In the spring of 2022, guitarist Keith Richards told the German Press Agency about drummer Steve Jordan, who took over for the late Charlie Watts: “Working with Steve Jordan somehow brought new energy and joie de vivre.” One now wants to see “what we can still do with the new cast. There is a lot in the works.” It was also recently reported that ex-bassist Bill Wyman and ex-Beatle Paul McCartney were said to have been in the studio with the Stones.

Other clues in the ad also point to the Stones, as the BBC reported on Wednesday. So the dot above the “i” is a mini version of the band’s famous lip logo. The alleged business was founded in 1962 – the same year as the band. Finally, the name “Hackney Diamonds” is in the same font as the 1978 album “Some Girls”, so it is suspected that this will be the name of the new release. “Hackney Diamonds” is a local slang term for broken glass on the ground after a robbery, the BBC said.

A London phone number is provided as a contact on the advert. When you call, you’ll hear an announcement: “Welcome to Hackney Diamonds, glass repair specialists. We’ll be opening in early September, Mare Street, E8. Register to call at www.hackneydiamonds.com. Come on!” Mare Street is a real street in the Hackney district of London, where, among other things, the Hackney Empire Theater is located.
