Maybe in the office of the event agency Live Nation you feel like you’ve completed your tax return: “Done!” Because the organizer of “Rock im Park” and “Rock am Ring” has a complete list of artists. While other large open air festivals haven’t even announced the usual first wave of bands, Germany’s largest twin festival has trumpeted the entire program in one fell swoop for the first time in its history. It is said that “a particular focus is on exclusivity”. This means that some of the artists will only be able to be seen in Nuremberg and at the Hockenheimring in the coming European festival season from June 7th to 9th.
For example the US punk rockers Green Day, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their album “Dookie” and the 20th of “American Idiot.” German punks, even “the best band in the world”, will only play here in 2024: the doctors. “Rock im Park und am Ring” is also exclusive Queens Of The Stone Agethe ESC winners Maneskin, Strength club, Billy Talent, Baby metal, Avenged Sevenfold and Parkway Drive.

Among the 80 or so concerts there are some curiosities, such as the band Dogstar about the Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves. Nostalgics also get their money’s worth (weekend ticket from 251 euros): the stick-out-of-the-sack rappers Body count arrive along with MC Ice-T Guano Apes unpack the snowboard rock board again, and the Donots are celebrating their 30th birthday – just like “Rock im Park” in 2025 (line-up still unknown).
