Robots make the dolls dance – Bavaria

Visitors to the Augsburg town hall have been able to watch a puppet theater performance by robots since Tuesday. The robot manufacturer Kuka announced on Tuesday that an adventure from the Augsburger Puppenkiste of Kasperle and the dragon Famulus will be shown. The latter figure designed the doll box especially for this purpose and handcrafted it in more than 50 hours of work. The puppet theater in the publicly accessible part of the town hall should be visible free of charge until the end of January 2024. The occasion is therefore a double anniversary. The Augsburger Puppenkiste is turning 75 years old, and the robotics company Kuka, based in the Fuggerstadt, is celebrating its 125th anniversary. According to the information, the robots for the town hall were appropriately named “Mario” and “Nette”.
