When Wanda came to Amelinghausen in Lower Saxony one day in October, she was hovering between life and death. Her skull was scalped, a deep gash gaping in her head. A man had found the hedgehog in an allotment garden, immediately got in his car and drove the 20 kilometers from Lüneburg. Antje Fabrizius-Voigt was already waiting.
