How that should even work, decarbonization, is a mystery to most citizens. With green electricity, of course – but 100 percent straight away? With cars, trucks, airplanes that need neither gasoline, diesel nor kerosene – and all of them? With industries that switch to green hydrogen – and can still keep up with the competition? It all sounds fantastic enough. The old federal government set the year 2045 as the target for climate neutrality: 23 years, eleven months and just under three weeks from now on. That is the plan.
