Robert Habeck is the first Green Economics Minister. He knows that since Ludwig Erhard, the expectation of stable prosperity has been attached to this department. The Economics Minister is responsible for keeping the store running. But Habeck also knows what reservations there are about a Green in this office, the concern about forced renunciation and the fear of losses in the standard of living. For this reason alone, it takes courage to go on television as a green economics minister and announce: The country is getting poorer.
