Corona cases continue to increase – the incidence is 75.1
Since October 11th, the corona tests are no longer free. Those who have not been vaccinated or recovered have to bear the costs. This is the only way to keep the pandemic clear.

Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn announced on Monday that he wanted to lift the epidemic emergency. According to data from the Robert Koch Institute, the number of new infections continues to rise.
The seven-day incidence in Germany rose for the sixth day in a row. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Tuesday morning as 75.1. For comparison: the previous day the value was 74.4, a week ago it was 65.8 (previous month: 70.5). The health authorities in Germany reported 6771 new corona infections to the RKI within one day. This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 4.18 a.m. A week ago the value was 4971 infections.
According to the new information, 88 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours – exactly as many as a week ago. The RKI has counted 4,384,616 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.
Hospitalization rate is falling slightly
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days – the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions – was given by the RKI on Monday as 1.92 (Friday 2.02). A nationwide threshold, from when the situation can be viewed critically, is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences. The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 4,164,600. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 94,716.
On Monday, Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn announced that the epidemic emergency would expire at the end of November. It is not yet clear whether this will equate to a Freedom Day that many industries are hoping for. SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach is convinced that central protective measures will also be continued afterwards. “No federal state would be so crazy, given the current number of cases, to forego access restrictions for closed rooms or to bury the mask requirement in buses and trains,” he told the editorial network Germany.
