RIP Ray Liotta – Culture

Ray Liotta has died at the age of 67. This is reported, among other things, by the US television station NBC, citing Liotta’s publicist. The “Goodfellas” star, known primarily for gangster roles, died “completely surprisingly” in his sleep, according to his spokeswoman.

Liotta was 67 years old. At the request of the German Press Agency, spokeswoman Jennifer Allen said he was in the Dominican Republic for filming. One of his best-known films is the mafia epic “Goodfellas” (1990) by director Martin Scorsese, in which Liotta played a gangster alongside Robert De Niro.

He has also acted in films such as Field of Dreams, Killing Them Softly and The Place Beyond the Pines. Last year he starred in the mafia flick The Many Saints of Newark.
