“The Mandalorian” star Rio Hackford is dead. The American actor and club owner was 52 years old.

Mourning for actor and club owner Rio Hackford. According to the US industry portal “Variety”, he died on Thursday (April 14) in Huntington Beach, California, at the age of 52. “Variety” reports, citing the deceased’s brother Alex Hackford, that the TV star died after an illness.

He was the stepson of Helen Mirren

Rio Hackford, the son of film director and film producer Taylor Hackford (77) and stepson of actress Helen Mirren (76), was known from films and television shows such as “Jonah Hex”, “Swingers”, “Treme” or “The Mandalorian”. He also reportedly owned clubs in New Orleans, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, which are popular hangouts and venues for artists. He also directed music videos.

In “The Mandalorian” he was the actor of the droid IG-11, voiced by Taika Waititi (46). He also recently played a manager in the series “Pam & Tommy”. Hackford also had small appearances in films like “Pretty Woman” or “Strange Days”.

Rio Hackford is survived by his wife, musician Libby Grace, two children, his brother Alex, and father and stepmother Helen Mirren, according to Variety.
