The rumors have been around for a while, but now Rihanna and her boyfriend, rapper A$AP Rocky, have confirmed that they are going to be parents.
The photos couldn’t be clearer: Rihanna and her boyfriend, rapper A$AP Rocky, strolled through Harlem together over the weekend. Paparazzi – possibly hired by the two – caught the couple on their cameras. Clear to see: Rihanna is pregnant.
Rihanna is pregnant
Her clear, bare baby bump peeped out of her open, pink down jacket. The “Umbrella” singer chose a long chain for the eye-catching outfit, which also played around the stomach. Fans have been speculating for weeks that the musician is expecting a baby. Earlier this month, the couple was spotted dining at the hip Italian restaurant Carbone in New York. Apparently they didn’t even try to hide the pregnancy. “Rihanna was obviously drinking bottled water and openly rubbing her baby bump,” a guest told Page Six. “One time she got up and had to maneuver her stomach along the side of the table,” the insider recalled.
Recently, the Barbados-born singer has been appearing more and more in wide outfits in public. However, this only fueled the rumor mill. The press speculated as early as November after accepting the National Hero Award in her home country and seeing a tummy under her tight-fitting dress.
A$AP Rocky gushed over her
In May last year, A$AP Rocky spoke about Rihanna in “GQ” magazine and raved about her. “[Sie ist] the love of my life. My lady,” he said at the time. “I think if you know, then you know. She’s the right one,” Rocky said. He also talked about family planning. “I think I would be an incredible, remarkable and generally great dad,” the musician claimed.
Now the time seems to have come that he will soon be able to prove his qualities as a father.
