Right-wingers threw stones at a train in Glauchau in which left-wing demonstrators were sitting. They wanted to protest against the march of the neo-Nazi party The Third Way in Zwickau. Also in Chemnitz there were bottle throwing by rights.

According to the police, right-wing extremists attacked counter-demonstrators when they arrived at a right-wing extremist march in Zwickau. At Glauchau station, they threw stones at a train in which demonstrators from the left camp were sitting, as a police spokesman said on Sunday afternoon. These were on their way to counter-protests in Zwickau. A spokesman said 41 rights had been set. A 28-year-old counter-demonstrator was reportedly slightly injured. There had already been clashes at the train station in Chemnitz. There, 50 right-wing demonstrators from the train were referred to Zwickau.

Bottle throwing also in Chemnitz

According to the federal police in Pirna, there had already been bottles thrown at the main train station in Chemnitz. Demonstrators who were on their way to the Third Way rally wanted to board a train. The police held her back because the train was already occupied by counter-demonstrators. The vehicle is currently in Zwickau. A spokesman said at noon that he would be examined for damage, especially to the window panes.

The right-wing extremist splinter party The Third Way had mobilized for a lift on Sunday in Zwickau. The party has been promoting the demonstration nationwide for months, so more than 500 participants are expected – including from southern Germany and Thuringia, police chief Lutz Rodig said recently. There are indications that there could also be many violent people among the demonstrators in Zwickau. At the same time, a broad counter-protest is planned in the city.
