You need really good eyesight to spot an animal in this picture. For amidst the mud, dirt and rocks on the shore lies a giant reptile whose mighty jaws can grip with tremendous force. If you take a closer look, you can actually see the outline of the crocodile in the picture. Whether in the water or at the water’s edge, crocodiles are opportunistic hunters who will hunt any creatures they can overpower on their territory. The picture was taken in North Queensland, Australia. According to a Cairns local, who shared the image online to warn visitors to the area, the crocodiles’ method of hunting is by not being able to tell their prey when they’re nearby. The local explains: “I live in a habitat for saltwater crocodiles and the rule we follow is that if a body of water is large enough to hide a crocodile, then assume one is hiding in it, and treat it with respect.”
