First a denial on Instagram in February 2021, then an interview in the Sunday newspaperin which Richard Berry, a 72-year-old actor, defends himself against the accusations of his daughter Coline.
I forced myself into silence
“I immediately denied these vile accusations, then I forced myself to remain silent because I wanted to let justice be done. This pronounced a dismissal, expected because the facts were prescribed, and twice, during the defamation lawsuits brought by Jeane Manson [son ex-compagne], she condemned Coline for her lies. The judgment is very clear, very precise, and the case, in terms of justice, is behind me. Today I can express myself and affirm that everything is false”.
False but painful, as the actor recognizes. “Being wrongly accused is an omnipresent wound, a deep wound. My 8 year old daughter does not know of the existence of Coline […]. For the purposes of the investigation, she had to be heard by the minors’ brigade. Sending our child there was terrible for my wife and me. For my other daughter Joséphine too, who is fighting for me, these accusations have had difficult consequences, ”explains the actor in the JDD.
