Entertainer gets his own personality show
Riccardo Simonetti intensifies his cooperation with the WDR.

Riccardo Simonetti continues his career at WDR. A new personality show will even be produced for and with the entertainer from autumn.
WDR and Riccardo Simonetti (29) continue to expand their collaboration. As the broadcaster announced on Monday, a five-part personality show will be produced for ARD from autumn 2022, which will be shown on Erste, WDR and ARD Mediathek. Further details or a name of the show are not yet known. Simonetti is also in action for the WDR children’s program. Among other things, the entertainer will implement a laughing story for the “Show with the Mouse” for the year 2023.
“I am very grateful to WDR for giving me the opportunity to show viewers more of myself and my own personality,” Simonetti is quoted as saying in the press release. He is connected to the broadcaster that he gets a space for the topics he is passionate about and the people whose stories he finds exciting and enriching. Such a show is a great opportunity, but also a great responsibility: “I want to create added value, breathe a bit of glamor into public television and, above all, just have fun!”
His WDR format “Legendär” also continues
Simonetti has been moderating the “Legendär” format for WDR since 2021. There he embarks on a journey through time and sheds light on different facets of bygone days. Two new episodes are already in the works: “Unsere Helden der 70er” (August 27 on WDR) and “Queens of Pop” (no broadcast date yet).
