Retired Van-Life: Cute motorhome instead of a luxurious house

Watch the video: 59-year-old fulfills dream and has been living completely self-sufficient in a mobile home for years.

Beverly Brown from Texas lives a minimalist life.

Her van “Jennifer Vaniston” has only the bare essentials of clothing, tucked away in two drawers and pillows.

Instead of putting a pillow filling in it, I keep all my jackets in there. So I have a bit of extra space. It doesn’t take up much space and it’s a great pillow.

The pensioner spends between one night and two weeks in each place before continuing her journey.

Is Brown lonely?

She uses dating apps to plan her route through America and meet like-minded people along the way.

Often when I’m at a campsite, the campers are often so friendly and I make friends.

Brown has lived this unconventional life for over a year and feels very comfortable in her small home.

I come here, lock the door at night and sleep just as peacefully and feel just as safe as if I were in a house. And the advantage of a van is that I can always climb into the front seat and drive away.

A view that other people buy expensive beach houses for, she enjoys for free.

The pensioner can no longer imagine any other life.

I don’t know how long I planned to run a van-life. That was an incredible adventure. I’ve had the van for a few years now. To be honest, I can’t imagine driving a normal car again.
