The vitamin D supply in Central Europe is still problematic. The German Society for Nutrition e. V. recommended daily intake of 20 micrograms for children, adolescents and adults is often not reached. Problem: even with regular intake of vitamin D supplements, the vitamin D level can often only be maintained but not increased. The decisive factor is not the vitamin D level in the blood, but the effect of this prohormone in the organs. To do this, vitamin D must be bound to the DNA together with the retinoic acid. Only then can the DNA produce the corresponding proteins that the body needs for regulation. Well over 1000 genes are controlled by vitamin D. Studies show that resveratrol improves the binding of vitamin D to the corresponding receptor on DNA. Wolz the preparation ‘ Vitamin D3 4000 IU plus‘ which, in addition to a high dosage of 100 micrograms of vitamin D, also contains 2 mg of resveratrol from red grapes per capsule. This is equivalent to the amount of resveratrol in a glass of red wine. In addition, ‘Vitamin D3 4000 IU plus’ contains natural vitamin C from acerola and flavonoids from citrus fruits.

The fat-soluble vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is important for the immune system, cell division, bones, teeth and muscles. Above all, older people, athletes, pregnant women, breastfeeding women and women in the menopause benefit from an additional intake of the sun vitamin. Especially people who rarely spend time outdoors or older people whose skin can no longer produce as much vitamin D should have their vitamin D levels checked regularly. Vitamin D deficiency is also widespread in children. Only three percent of children in eight European countries are adequately supplied with vitamin D, according to data from a study recently published in ” European Journal of Clinical Nutrition” has been published.

A capsule Vitamin D D3 4000 IU plus from Dr. Wolz contains 100 micrograms of vitamin D3 (= 4000 IU), 2 mg of resveratrol, 36 mg of citrus bioflavonoids and 40 mg of vitamin C from acerola juice powder. The capsule shell consists of vegetable cellulose. The preparation is free of lactose, gluten and colorings. A pack of Vitamin D D3 4000 IE plus (PZN 18084612) 60 capsules and is available for EUR 14.60 in pharmacies and health food stores or in the Dr. Wolz online shop at http://www.wolz.de/ available.
