In Switzerland alone, a three-digit number of jobs are likely to be affected. According to earlier information, the company employs around 109,000 people. The background to the cuts is the corporate restructuring announced a week ago, with which the two previously separately managed areas of pharmaceuticals and cancer drugs are to be merged.
