The art historian Wolfgang Ullrich has just recorded the observation in an essay that the cultural industry is in the process of collapsing. With regard to the pandemic and the invasion of Ukraine, he was still united in the sincere intention to support the weakest, i.e. the virological risk groups and the attacked Ukrainians. In the case of the Gaza war, however, he could not reach an agreement about who was weaker, Ullrich wrote in the Daily Mirrorthat’s why it’s raining disinvitations and threats of funding withdrawal: “New hostilities arise every day.”
