“Staff work and mass emergencies of emergency patients” was the name of the large rescue exercise organized by the Malteser in Gräfelfing, in which rescue workers and volunteer fire brigades from the entire district took part, as well as the Munich fire brigade and the Großhadern clinic.

A huge wheel loader crashed head-on into a bus, which then tipped on its side, a delivery van drove up from behind, and there were around 30 passengers in the bus, some of whom were seriously injured.

They had lacerations and protruding bones painted on them with stage make-up. The biggest challenge was gaining access to the jammed bus to rescue the injured.
