Joe Biden has, according to the Republicans,“lied” to the American people. Their leader in the American House of Representatives announced on Tuesday, September 12, that they were launching an impeachment investigation against the president. It is the suspicious affairs of the son of the head of state, Hunter Biden, which are at the origin of this investigation.
The latter is a 53-year-old businessman, a former drug addict and also in trouble with the law, notably for having illegally possessed a firearm. Hunter Biden is suspected of having made questionable contracts in China and Ukraine between 2009 and 2017. At that time, his father was Barack Obama’s vice-president and the son allegedly benefited from them.
This is not the first parliamentary investigation against the current president and candidate for re-election. The White House spokesperson notably denounced, on the social networkan investigation led by Republicans into “nine months” without them being able to report a “the only evidence of wrongdoing”. This new investigation has little chance of leading to impeachment, the Democrats are in the majority in the Senate and this chamber would be brought to judge Joe Biden, if he were indicted.
