Report: Newcastle United are keen on Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen is a free transfer this summer, making him an attractive transfer candidate for many clubs. That includes the Magpies.
Newcastle United are planning to sign Christian Eriksen in the summer. That Northern Echo writes that the Magpies are optimistic about signing the attacking midfielder from Premier League rivals FC Brentford for the coming season.
Eriksen’s contract with the Bees then expires. Brentford coach Thomas Frank has already announced that he would like to keep the 30-year-old. But big-name competitors have already been linked with him in Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and West Ham United. Newcastle also want Eriksen and those responsible for the new sporting director Dan Ashworth are willing, according to the report, to outbid all offers from the competition for Eriksen.
