“Renfield” in the cinema: bite me – culture

Robert Montague Renfield starts in a self-help group. The apparently young man, played by Nicholas Hoult, wants to free himself from a toxic relationship like the other injured souls. The question is how. That it’s not a relationship at eye level, but a pure relationship of dependency – given. What makes things more difficult for him is that the matter has not only been going on for a few years, but for centuries. That he must bring fresh, innocent people to eat for his lord and master every day. And that this cruel gourmet is none other than the legendary Count Dracula – played by the no less legendary Nicolas Cage.
