Renée Zellweger doesn’t believe in anti-aging products. “You have to accept your age,” she says in a new interview.
In a new interview, Renée Zellweger (53) criticized the advertising for anti-aging products. In conversation with the “Sunday Times” she explains that these ads “tell us that we don’t have to look like our real ages if we buy all their creams, correctors and crap they market”. The two-time Oscar winner continues: “Are you saying that at the age of 53 I am no longer valuable? Is that what you want to say?”
For the “Bridget Jones” star, “there’s a big difference between being your absolute best, most alive self and wanting to be what you’re not.” Because: “To be alive and beautiful, you have to accept your age.” Otherwise you live with excuses “and that’s not nice at all in my eyes”.
50 years were “a whole new beginning” for Renée Zellweger
Her 50th birthday was “a whole new beginning” for Zellweger. She has reached the point “where you can stop listening to all the voices in your head and people’s expectations and projections”. From that point on, she became much more authentic. “Good luck you idiots out there, because you have to survive a lot to get to my age, and I’ve earned my power and my vote,” she thought at the time.
Renée Zellweger has been in a relationship with British TV presenter Ant Anstead (43) since 2021. The relationship became public in June of that year. its occasional Couple photos on Instagram the actress “does not pay much attention”, as she reveals.
The 53-year-old stays out of social media. “I don’t think it would be good for me,” said Zellweger. She has “a list of things I want to do every day”. This includes, for example, writing or calling her mother and learning languages online. “If I had the compulsion to check my phone every day, it would be scary. I prefer hiking with my dogs, Chester and Ellie.”
