René Pollesch shows his new piece “And now?” in Berlin – culture

An agit-prop nerd, a would-be intellectual and Hans-Jürgen, who has undergone every imaginable training to become a night watchman in the Schwedt petrochemical combine, meet on the workers’ platform of the refinery to “Horizons” by Gerhard Winterlich to rehearse. It is June 6, 1968, the evening of the dress rehearsal, and there is still so much to be discussed as to what has anything to do with the number “three”. All three have recently been struck by lightning. The piece has three pauses, sparking a wild discussion as to why life doesn’t have three pauses too? And the dialectic also comes into play with its history-making three-component dynamic of thesis, anti-thesis and synthesis.
