This has happened to almost everyone: you order a winter jacket, jogging shoes or a few T-shirts online – and forget to pay the bill. After a few days you will receive the first reminder with a new payment deadline. If you miss this deadline too, the second request follows. It’s more expensive then. The online retailer Zalando, for example, charges customers who buy goods on account a reminder fee of 1.80 euros after 14 days. If the amount is not paid seven days later, it costs another 3.50 euros.
