A historic triple! Demi Vollering, who has already lifted her arms in the Amstel Gold Race and the Flèche Wallonne, also won Liège-Bastogne-Liège on Sunday 23 April, the third Ardennes classic. She sprinted ahead of the Italian Elisa Longo Borgini (Trek-Segafredo) with whom she had escaped about ten kilometers from the finish. The SD Worx runner succeeds its sports director, the legendary Anna van der Breggen, the first and only woman so far to have achieved this incredible triptych, in 2017.
