WhatsApp users can look forward to a relief with the popular Messenger. As has now become known, those responsible want to remove an annoying limitation that currently restricts chats.
About four years ago WhatsApp introduced the option of deleting messages after they have been sent. Initially, the time window for this was seven minutes. It was later increased to 4096 seconds, i.e. one hour, eight minutes and 16 seconds. Therefore, it is currently no longer possible to delete a message for everyone after two hours, for example.
As “WABetaInfo“reported, this restriction could soon be a thing of the past. WhatsApp is currently working on a new version of the” delete for all “function. There should then no longer be a time limit.
WhatsApp feature “Delete for all”: No release date has yet been announced for the new version
The feature is still under development. How exactly the finished version will look like will only be revealed when it is activated for beta testers.
It is also unknown whether the new feature will also apply retrospectively to messages sent prior to the relevant update. A release date has not yet been announced either.
