Released in a box the day before Lille – PSG, Mohamed Bayo returned to reserve until further notice

There is better to adapt to his new team. Arrived this summer in Lille from Clermont for some 12 million euros, Mohamed Bayo was returned to the reserve team. The 24-year-old striker had been dismissed from the group summoned to face PSG in L1 on Sunday, a few hours before the Parisian demonstration (1-7), for an outing in a night establishment the day before.

A photo of this escapade had circulated on social networks and had provoked the ire of its leaders. The Guinean international will remain with the Losc B team until further notice, and will also have to pay a fine of 75,000 euros.

Not the first prank

“It’s a lack of respect vis-à-vis the club, a lack of respect vis-à-vis the technical staff and also our supporters”, had dropped the northern president Olivier Létang on Sunday at the microphone of Prime Video. “We were with the coach [Paulo Fonseca] very annoyed, even furious at this behavior which for us is not tolerable. »

In October 2021, Bayo was arrested shortly after a collision between his car and another vehicle. The player, who was “alcoholic”, had “committed a hit and run” but witnesses having recognized him, he was arrested and placed in police custody quickly after the facts, explained the prosecution.

The attacker was sentenced last April to a two-month suspended prison sentence for “drunk driving” and “unintentional injuries” by the Clermont-Ferrand court.
