Regenstauf: Tractor rolls over man during farmers’ demonstration – Bavaria

A man who, according to the police, wanted to stop the tractors was injured during a protest by farmers in the Upper Palatinate. The 68-year-old stepped into a gap between the vehicles on Thursday in Regenstauf during the tour of the demonstrating farmers. The police said on Friday that he wanted to stop the tractors and talk to the participants.

Some tugs stopped, others drove past to the side. The man was injured in the foot by a tractor. The 57-year-old tractor driver is now being investigated for, among other things, negligent bodily harm, it said.

But the 68-year-old is also being investigated criminally because he disrupted an approved protest. The farmers’ campaign with around 100 vehicles in the Grafenwinn district was therefore approved by the authorities. The police are now looking for witnesses to the incident.
